Important Notice for Select Micro-USB Charging Cables Associated with Some Happy Plugs Bluetooth Wireless II Headphones sold in Canada and U.S between January 1, 2019 and April 30, 2019.
Voluntary Recall and Exchange Program
June 3, 2019
Happy Plugs has announced a voluntary recall of select micro-USB charging cables (the “Affected Cables’) packaged with some Bluetooth Wireless II Headphones (“Headphones”). In rare cases, the Affected Cables will not charge the Headphones and will instead heat the Headphones, posing a burn risk to consumers. Happy Plugs is aware of possibly 3 incidents in Canada. The Affected Cables were potentially packaged with some Headphones sold in Canada and U.S between January 1, 2019 and April 30, 2019.
An Affected Cable will never charge the Headphones. If you have previously successfully charged and used the Headphones, your micro-USB charging cable is not affected. If your Headphones were purchased in Canada between January 1, 2019 and April 30, 2019, DO NOT USE YOUR MICRO-USB CHARGING CABLE if:
- You have not yet used your micro-USB charging cable to charge the Headphones, or;
- The micro-USB charging cable did not seem to charge the Headphones when previously attempted.
Customers can exchange their Affected Cables for a replacement micro-USB charging cable by returning it to the retailer where it was purchased. If the Headphones were purchased on-line, please contact customerservice@happyplugs.com to make arrangements for the no-cost exchange.
